When replacement is the right call

- Grease or water ingress has corroded the panel internals
- The system pre-dates current standards or has no proving on make-up air
- The kitchen has been extended or appliances added, so the valve is now undersized
- Repeated nuisance trips traced to a failing controller rather than ventilation
What a replacement involves
We survey the existing installation, confirm valve sizing against the current appliance gas rate, and select an equivalent current system — typically Merlin/S&S Northern, Medem or Intelligas. Existing containment and cabling is reused where it is sound, which keeps disruption and cost down. The system is then commissioned and certified from scratch.

Frequently asked questions
Can I keep my existing solenoid valve?
Often yes, if it is the correct size, closes cleanly and passes a tightness test. We check it as part of the swap rather than replacing parts unnecessarily.
How long is the kitchen down?
A like-for-like panel replacement is usually a few hours with gas off only for the valve work. We can work overnight to avoid closing.
Do you replace interlocks you didn't install?
Yes — most of our replacement work is on systems fitted by others.
